Down in Carolina

I have lived in the small town of Elizabeth City, North Carolina since August of 1996.

Originally, I am from Memphis, Tennessee and I’ve moved around quite a bit. Even with that, Elizabeth City was somewhat of a culture shock. Things move at a very different pace here. Really they have NO pace. Zero. It’s small. It’s quiet. There are lots of bodies of water. Lots of good down home people.

Recently, my dear friend Dawn invited me (and my ever-present camera) to her lovely home / self-made farm, just down the road. Everything here is ‘just down the road’.

I will let the photos speak for themselves. I can’t wait to come back Dawn! With freshly charged batteries this time…
